SUG president, Umaru Waziri Fed Poly dies in a motor accident (photos)

The Student Union Government President, Umaru Waziri Federal Polytechnic, Mustapha Muhammed lost his life in the early hours of today after he was involved in a ghastly motor accident. Mr Mustapha was in HND 2 before meeting his untimely death.

Facebook user, Suleiman Mahmud T shared photos from the accident scene on his page and wrote;


Inallilahi waina illehi rajiun..! With pains, I wish to announce the death of Students Union President of Umaru Waziri Federal Polytechnic Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State . He died in a motor accident early hours of today, May Jannat Firdausi be his next abode.

JAMB Registrar speaks on cut-off marks, breakdown of registered UTME candidates

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has clarified that cut-off points are not set by the body. The exams will begin on Saturday May 13, 2017 .   He explained that a policy committee chaired by the Minister of Education, with the Board, Vice-Chancellors, Provosts of Colleges of Education and Polytechnic Rectors as members, is saddled with the task. The Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, said this at the news briefing on Tuesday in Bwari, in preparation for the conduct of this year’s UTME. He described cut-off points to be a minimum requirement and not an indication that one was admissible. JAMB sets May 26 for rescheduled examinations for over 12,000 candidates

Bwari (Abuja) – The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Sunday said that it had set May 26 for rescheduled Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) for more than 12, 000 candidates across the country. The Board’s Head of Media, Dr Fabian Benjamin, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.
